Description:
Poly α olefin base oils (PAO) are mainly classified into two markets: low viscosity (2-10 CST) and medium-high viscosity (>25cSt) . The total market demand for low viscosity PAO in 2005 was about 280,000 tons, while the market demand for high viscosity PAO was estimated to be 30,000 tons. Low-viscosity PAOs, because of its versatility, high efficiency and economy, have an absolute advantage in the markets for the high-end Lubricant base oils.
